Beccy's Place New Release Rose Bouquet Set

Greetings!

Today I would like to share with you the first of my final two cards for my April Guest DT with Beccy's Place.  It has truly been an honor and treat working with Beccy's beautiful images.  I will be back in July (looking forward to it) for another Guest DT term.

I used her single rose from the following Rose Bouquet set to make my card.

Rose Bouquet Set

As you can see this is the perfect set for those Mother's Day cards.  Beccy has managed to cover every special lady in your life with the sentiments.  How clever!  The amount of cards that you can make from this one set is endless.

Here's my creation...

You are beautiful
I dedicate this to all my beautiful followers!  Thank you so much for all the kind comments that you have been leaving.  I truly appreciate it.  I think kindness is more powerful than any weapon of mass destruction amd you all have confirmed that for me.

I used a 6x6 scalloped white cardstock base and layered on some green and red cardstock.  I really wanted this card to be simple, but lovely.  I used the rose as my inspiration.  I then layered some dp that with a lace edging, which I created with Martha Stewart's punch.  Carlos assisted me again with cutting out my rose and wordart.  I then added a corner diecut from Spellbinder's in the corner and gem to finish it off.  I colored this rose using Copic Markers.

You can pick this beautiful set up at Beccy's Place store.  Also, don't forget to visit the blog to see what the other talented designers (and Beccy herself) has created.  There is also a little time left to link up a card for this month challenge April Showers brings May Flowers.

Thanks again for visiting and commenting.  May you have a beautiful day!

Cleared for Take Off!!

Greetings!

Happy Monday!  It's a clear and sunny day here in Michigan and we are clear for take off.   A new week is underway so please keep a smile on your face and operate in grace at all times. :-)   Today I would like to share a fun "boy's card' with you that I made with Carlos (my Silhouette Cameo).

Here's our creation...

Cleared for take off!
I started this card off with a 6x6 scallop edge white cardbase.  I then designed and cut the clouds, plane, background landscape and banner using my Cameo.  I layered a yellow cardstock behind the black to make it appear that the lights were on in the buildings below.  The inspiration for this card came from the fact that my house is directly in the path of an airport.  I tell you sometimes I think they are going to land on my house.  I can wave at the pilot and I promise you he waves back. lol  I should have stuck a little pilot in the cockpit of this plane.  Oh well, maybe next time.  The FAB wordart came from Paulette over at Create with TLC.  I tell you ladies and gents if you are ever stuck for something to say, Paulette has it!  I wasn't going to put a sentiment on this card, because I couldn't think of what to say and sure enough...I looked through my stash of TLC wordart and found the perfect sentiment.  Thanks Paulette for saving the day again!

Well, I hope that your week has an awesome start and that there will be very little turbulence during the course of it.

Mo's DP2 Challenge: Pastel Colors

Greetings!

Okay, you get two post today for the price of one.  I had created this card last week for Mo's DP2 Spring challenge; however, I missed getting it posted.  I hate when that happens!  Well, this week's challenge is pastels so I lucked up because I used pastel colors when I created this card.

Here's my creation...

Happy Spring
I used a 6x6 scalloped edge whitecardstock base from my stash of goodies to create this card.  I layered on some dp, clouds, picket fence and grass.  I then cut the image out using Carlos, colored it up with my Copic markers and popped her on the front.  The sentiment is from Paulette over at Create with TLC.  It was perfect for last week's Spring challenge.  I am glad that it works for the pastel challenge too.  I love this image from Mo.  It was one of the new releases during the Spring Hop last week.  I also purchased the baseball boy with the fat cheeks. lol  I look forward to coloring him up.

Thank you for looking and commenting!

Spread Your Wings

Greetings!

Wow, it is already Sunday which means back to work tomorrow!  <Thank you God for my job.>  Yesterday we had a gorgeous sunny day.  It was a little cool, but the sun made it all worth while.  I spent most, okay all day inside creating.  I have been bitten by the mojo overload bug or something. lol  I guess I making up for all that time I went without creating (or I am gearing up for the Megameet Scrapbooking/Craft convention in 2 weeks).  My buddy Kim accuses me of having an affair with Carlos...my Silhouette Cameo machine. LOL  She may be on to something there. *blush*

Anyways, here's the latest creation that Carlos...oops my Cameo and I have created. *bwahaha*

Spread Your Wings
I ran this butterfly through my Cameo and walah a beauty was born.  I went monochromatic by accident actually, because I just started pulling paper and cardstock and ended up with a coral and mint green color scheme.  I actually love these colors together and they are very popular this year for clothing.  I added pearls for the butterflies whitchamacallits (technical term).   I designed the card base and used it for the mother day card I made a few post back.  It seemed befitting for this card as well.

The supplies for this card all came from my stash.  It was actually a very simple card to put together once I had it designed on the Carlos...I mean the Cameo. tehehe

Cat chip?

Greetings!

Don't let the title fool you.  I am not eating cats...actually I really try to stay clear of them because I am very allergic.  They will kick my allergies up and then my asthma will join in the fun and I will quickly turn into a HOT mess! lol  The title came from a freebie sentiment that Paulette gave away on the blog last week.  It made me think of my former boss, whom I will have lunch with on Friday, so I had to whip up this card.

Here's my card...

Cat chip?
I started with a dark blue cardstock base and layered a strip of dp on top.  Carlos and I cut out some silhouettes of cats and layered various designer paper on top.  I used my Spellbinder's beaded oval die to create a mat for my sentiment.  As I previously stated, the sentiment is from Create with TLC.  I hope it is clear now where the title of my blog post comes from. lol  No calling PETA on me, okay?!

I dedicate this card to all the cat lovers out there...MEOW!

Get well...

Greetings!

Happy Saturday!  I have a busy day today.  The college that I work at is having Electronic Clean up day.  You can bring all your old worn out electronic devices to the college and a company will dispose of them for you for no fee.  I loaded my SUV and am headed over there.  I have so much stuff that needs to go so I am happy that they are offering this service.

Well, before I head out I wanted to share a "fun" card I put together for everyone out there suffering with allergies.  I call it a "Kleenex" or "Tissue box card."

Here's my card...(featuring wordart from Create with TLC)

Get Well
I just cut a 5x10 piece of purple cardstock, scored it down the middle and layered on some green cardstock.  My bestie Michelle J. found me this really pretty designer paper from Michael's that I added Stickles to and layered it on top.  I think the dp really makes it look like a tissue box and well the tissue sticking out of the top helps too. *gigl*  I used a corner rounder to round out all my edges.  Then I matted the wordart (comes in black, but I changed the color to purple) from Create with TLC on green cardstock.  I think that it is a fun card and someone who is under the weather would love to have this to cheer them up.

The Incredible Hulk!

Greetings!

My blog has been taken over by the color green and the Incredible Hulk! lol  My little 3 year old nephew, Caden is bonkers about the Avengers characters.  His 3 favorite characters are the Iron Man, Spiderman and yes you guessed it...the Hulk.  When I go over my sister's house, he wants me to be the Hulk and he is Iron man and we fight.  He always freezes me and bust through with my strong arms and fist. hahaha  I love that kid!

I use to love watching the Incredible Hulk on tv.  I can't believe that I am...well older...and now my nephew loves him.  *smile*  In honor of my nephew, Dr. David Banner and Lou Ferrigno (the green man himself) ... here's Caden's card...the Hulk.

Caden's Hulk
This is another card that I designed using my Cameo machine.  I used a Tim Holtz's embossing folder to emboss the brick pattern on the brown cardstock and cut out the starburst on my Cmachine.  I colored this green monster using my Copic markers.  I finished him off with a white accent pen and put some glaze on his finger nails.

I think he is the perfect "boy" card and I am sure my nephew will like him.

The World's #1 Mom

Greetings!

Okay, I know most people say that they have the World's #1 Mom; however, I know that I do for a fact.  Heck, the woman gave birth to 14 kids...say no more.  hahaha  So I dedicate this card to my mommy and to all the wonderful, patience, kind, caring mommy's in the world.  We need more like you!!

Again, I was playing on my Cameo and came up with the idea of creating a "blue ribbon" card.  I thought about what it would look like and then bounced some wordart ideas off Paulette over at Create with TLC and she designed the perfect topper for my card.  Thanks again, Paulette!!

Here's my creation (featuring Paulette's wordart)...

World's #1 Mom
My apologies...still working on my camera lighting.  I live in a cabin sorta.  I cut all my cardstock out on my Cameo and used a Cuttlebug to emboss the top layer of my cardstock.  I then used the folded paper flower technique and made the medallion.  I cut my out my wordart and mat using my Spellbinder's circle diecut.  I finished it off my adding Stickles around the edges of the medallion and circles.  It was a very simple card to put together, but I think it is elegant and my mom will be happy to get it.

I hope this inspires you to tell your mommy how much you love her.

Bird's of a Feather...

Greetings!

Happy Wednesday!  Today I want to share with you a "masculine" card that I created using Beccy's Place new release "Feather Set."  When I saw this set I knew that I wanted to use my multi-color technique on it.  It was the perfect digital image for this technique and I love how it turned out.

Here's my creation...

Birds of a Feather
I started out with a 6x6 cream card base and layered on black cardstock and then some dp.  I cut a fishtail using black cardstock and made stitches on it using a white gel pen.  I matted my image on black cardstock and distressed the edges using ink.  I just realized that I didn't do any coloring (with markers on this card).  I "colored" my image using Microsoft Word.  Again, I love how it turned out and it would make a perfect card, in my humble opinion, for that special guy friend.

You can pick this set up and so many more when you visit Beccy's Place.  Don't forget to stop by the blog and check out what the design team put together using these images and sentiments.  Also, the April challenge is still up and running so join in the fun!

U Bee kind...u bee smart...u bee the bee's knees!

Greetings!

Okay, I just purchased a photo studio box and I'm still learning how the lights work.  I think I am going to take a photography class at work.  So bear with me please as I figure this all out. ~thanks

Just popping in to show you what has been buzzing around my craft table.  I have to say that I am terrified of bees.  I can't stand to hear them buzzing and really don't like it when they take a bite out of me. teeheehee  However, with that said, Mo Manning created a bee that is so adorable, I had to have her.  Mo, originally created a straight haired version of Baby Fairy Bee and I asked (really nicely) if she would make a curly haired version as well.  She did!!  She so rocks!

Anyways, I fell so in love with this little cutie that I had to make an extra special card for her to hang out on.  Sooooo...without further ado...here's my Bee's Knees card.

Bee's Knees
Okay, I designed this card using my Cameo machine.  Immediately when I saw the original Baby Fairy Bee, I knew what I wanted to do and when Mo made this cutie, my vision came to life. lol  After assembling my bee-hive card, I added some grass and the sentiment which is from Paulette at Create with TLC.  If you are ever trying to find the write words to put on a card, page layout, whatever, I guarantee that Paulette will have it or will create it for you.  She rocks too!!  I colored this cutie with Copic markers.  I added Stickles to hr wings and some white gel pen to her cheeks and flower.  I truly love how this card turned out.  I will definitely be making this card again, so that I can play with this image over and over agian. *smile*

Happy Birthday Paulette!

Greetings!

Today is not only tax day, but it happens to be Paulette, owner of Create with TLC, birthday!  So the Creative Team has decided to take one image and make her some birthday wishes.  I love the image that Lisa Lynn has chosen for us.  It screams Paulette and it screams HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Paulette for all your kindness, generosity and just all around sweet spirit here's my birthday card for you.  I hope that you like it and even more importantly, I hope that you have a FAB birthday!!

Here's your card...

Vogue Birthday

I designed this entire card layout on my Cameo (loving this machine a bit too much). *smile*  I layered on this cool dp from SU and colored this cutie using my Copic markers.  I added the sentiment that Paulette gave away during the TLC Vintage Fashion Bloghop.

Paulette, I pray that your day overflows with birthday wishes and that kindness fills your mailbox and last for days.  You deserve it!!

Gratitude changes attitudes for the best!

Greetings!

I hope you are having a bless Sunday!  I am about to head out to church, but I wanted to quickly THANK everyone who has commented on my blog.  I have truly enjoyed reading your awesome comments.

I also wanted to address a few questions and comments.

  • On the "TLC Vintage Fashion Show Blog Hop" post..."the party girl" image is from Mo Manning and the sentiment is from Paulette at Create with TLC.

  • I am so glad that you love my "Shemar Moore Shout-out badge."  I laughed as I created that one, because I do like me some Shemar Moore.  Please feel free to pin it.

  • Speaking of pinning things, I have fixed my "follow me pinterest" button so please follow me there.  I would love to see all your pretty little thumbnails pop up over there as well.

  • A special thank you to Julie Short who commented on my "Beccy's Place Bicycle Blossom" frame post.  I wholeheartedly believe that life is a journey and how we decide to travel (roads we take, decisions we make, etc) will shape the outcome.  Therefore, I choose lots of color and surround myself with things (and people) who make me smile...like Shemar. lol

Have a blessed day everyone!  Oh, in case I forget...you will want to check back here this week, becasue I have some really fun and creative cards to share with you.

A Boy's Adventure

Greetings!

Whew what a week!.  I didn't think it was possible to cram so much into a week, but I managed. :-) I will have to fit even more into this weekend, because I have lots of fun things on my plate.  I have started a new blog and I must sit down and finish working on the blog design background for it.  Also, I have designed several new cards using my Cameo and I have several more brewing in my noggin.  I love being creatively busy. :-)

Well, I didn't want the week to get away from me without sharing with you another creation using Beccy's Place FAB "Bicycle Blossom" set.  I shared a frame with you last week using this set and now I am shifting gears (hahaha) and sharing a boy's card with you.

Here's my creation...

Beccy's Boy Bicycle
I used a 6x6 blue cardstock base for this card and layered on red and then textured blue cardstock.  I cut a piece of dp for the edge of the card and some circles using my Spellbinder's diecuts for the center.  I used my Cameo to cut out the bike, clouds, grass and the sentiment (comes with the set).  The banner I cut out by hand.  The bike is pre-colored so that made it very easy to put this card together.  I truly love creating boy cards, because they can be simple.

Be sure to stop by Beccy's Place store (and blog) to see all the other wondeful digis that she has created.

Well, thanks for looking and commenting!

A CAS birhday card for Kim!

Greetings!

Forgive me for my late posting, but we are having a lot of rain (thundering and lighting) so my internet is wacky.  Nevertheless, I carry on!  I am popping in to wish one of my crafting buddies, Mz. Kim of scrapsoffaith.blogspot.com, the happiest birthday evah!!  Me and my other crafting buddy, Mz. Sassy (a.k.a. Joann) over at sassyraggedy.com, decided to make Kim a monochromatic and CAS card.

I chose to do a CAS card.  Okay, I must say that I have created several cards over my lifetime for many different people; however I have never been so intimidated about creating a card.  If you check out Kim's blog you will know why.  This woman doesn't do simple, she does extravangant, she does eloquent, she does elaborate, but never simple (even when she tries - lol).  So, I still haven't decided whether I will mail her this card or not. lol

Here's my birthday card for Kim...

Kim's simple card

I used a 6x6 peach cardstock base and layered on some Kraft paper.  I then cut some SU dp and glued a lace border on it using a SU punch.  I cut the sentiment out on my Cameo as well as the cupcake.  I colored the cupcake using Copics.  Walah!  Simple card is born.  I could have made it even more simple, but had to keep the recipient in mind. (tehehehe)

Well, Kim, my friend, I hope that you have a blessed bday.  May our heavenly Father above open the windows of Heaven and pour out so many blessings that you can hardly contain them all.

Love ya,

I hope you have been inspired by all the lovely creations that the Design Team has produced.  As I take the catwalk, I am presenting the vintage freebie image "Vintage Sunday School."
Here's my creation...
Vintage Sunday School
I cut the shape card out using my Cameo as well as the SU dp and vines.  I also used a Spellbinder's die Oval die to cut out and mat my image.  I colored my image using Copic markers.  The rod iron fence is a diecut from Heartfelt Creations.  I finished my card off with flowers from Wild Orchid.
Freebie...(don't forget to leave Paulette some love)

Here's another creation using an exclusive wordart freebie that you can only get from the Create with TLC blog.
Vogue Birthday wordart
I started off cutting a 5 x 7 cardbase using SU purple cardstock.  I then layered on some red cardstock and dp paper from a 6x6 pad.  I used my corner punch to round off the edges.  I then used a Spellbinder's Circle die to cut circles in the dp as well as to cut out my wordart.  The image I used is from Mo Manning.  I colored her using Copic makers and Spica pens.  I cut her out using my Cameo.  I added the flourishes from a diecut.  I finished my card off by adding Stickles to her dress.  She is definitely ready for the catwalk!
Okay, I hope you are inspired by my latest creations and now it is time for our Guest Designer Deb to take the catwalk.

Coffee Time with TLC

Greetings!

I hope that you are having a FAB Thursday!  The sun is shining here in Michigan and we are expecting temps in the high 50s.  If you live in Michigan that is a real treat!  :-)

I want to share with you a creation I did for Create with TLC using a new set Paulette just came out with called "Take time to."  You can pick it up in the store today!  I think this is a neat reminder to get off the rollercoaster of everyday hectic living and do something for YOU.  When was the last time you did something for yourself?  I purchased a pair of strappy pink suede shoes (see last pic).

Here's my creation using the "Coffee Time" image from the new set.

Gate Fold Gift Box
Gate Fold Gift Box 2

I created this box, which I call a Gate Fold Gift Box after recieving a similar card in the mail last Christmas.  I will have to write a tutorial on how I did it when I get a moment.  It is so versatile and makes for a great gift giving box.  I started out with white cardstock and then layered on some SU blue cardstock.  I used a sheet of paper from one of MME 6x6 paperpacks.  I cut a eyelet circle out on brown cardstock using Spellbinder's die.  I used my Copic markers to color the image and to add a blue highlight around the image.

Don't forget that the TLC Vintage Fashion Show blog hop is coming up in 3 days!  Make sure you join in the fun, because lots of great freebies will be up for grabs. :-)

Oh, I almost forgot to show you a pic of my pink strappy shoes that I got for $5 (regular $40)!!!  Woot Woot! lol  They are really comfortable too. *smile*
